Plastex Plastic Repair Kit (Standard Orange Kit) is designed to glue broken plastic, fill gaps, form new parts, and repair stripped threads. It forms a strong molecular bond without requiring any mixing ratios, making plastic repair simple and effective. Plastex works on rigid plastics and materials including ABS, polycarbonate, acrylic, fiberglass, SMC, Bakelite, composites, carbon fiber, and wood. It is not suitable for softer plastics such as polyethylene or polypropylene. The included reusable molding bar allows you to replicate parts and recreate missing tabs. Heat the molding material to approximately 120F, press it onto an undamaged section, and allow it to harden for 20-30 minutes. Once hardened, apply Plastex powder and activator into the mold to form replacement parts. After curing, remove the mold and inspect the repair. The repaired area can be sanded and painted if needed. For best results, apply Plastex to the inside or backside of the repair-there is no need to apply it on both sides. Plastex is ideal for repairing rigid plastics used in motorcycles, cars, trucks, aircraft, watercraft, RVs, pools, hot tubs, toys, hobbies, and household or office items. Proudly made in the USA.
The Plastex kit gets the job done. I had to remake a small plastic piece on my outdoor furniture, and while it worked, I found the instructions a bit unclear at times. Still, it's a handy tool to have around for quick repairs.

Not as strong as I hoped
Tried using the Plastex kit on a plastic toy that broke, but after a few days, it came apart again. It fixed it for a little while, but not durable enough for heavy usage. Maybe it'll work better on other materials though!

Impressive adhesive power!

Good kit, but some issues
The Plastex repair kit is good for minor fixes, but I had a tough time with the consistency of the glue. Some areas held well, while others didn't stick as expected. The orange color is a nice touch, but I found the packaging a bit confusing.
