Plastex Plastic Repair Kit is designed to glue broken plastic, fill gaps, form new parts, and repair stripped threads. It creates a strong molecular bond and requires no mixing ratio, making plastic repair simple. Plastex works on rigid plastics and materials including ABS, polycarbonate, acrylic, fiberglass, SMC, Bakelite, composites, carbon fiber, and wood. Plastex is not for softer plastics such as polyethylene or polypropylene. The reusable molding bar allows parts to be replicated and missing tabs to be recreated. Heat the molding material to 120F, press it onto the undamaged section, and allow it to harden for 20 to 30 minutes. Once hardened, apply Plastex powder and activator into the mold to form replacement parts. After curing, remove the mold and inspect the repair. Repairs can be sanded and painted if needed. Plastex should be applied to the inside or backside whenever possible. There is no need to apply on both sides. Plastex repairs rigid plastics used in motorcycles, cars and trucks, aircraft, watercraft, RVs, pools and hot tubs, toys and hobbies, and household and office items.
