Decent strut, but packaging was a mess
The gas strut works well for my New Holland 7840, but I was disappointed with how it arrived. The box was crushed and had some dirt on it. Thankfully, the strut itself was fine, but that could've been better.

Better than the original strut
I replaced my old gas strut with this one from Raparts, and I can feel the difference. It holds up the hood much better and feels more reliable. Great purchase for my New Holland 5640!

Had issues with the fit
I bought this for my Ford New Holland 7840, but it was a bit tricky to install because it didn't seem to fit precisely. It works now, but it took some fiddling. Just be prepared for potential alignment issues.
