You may already be familiar with the name Horst Leitner due to his many years as a motocross and motorcycle racing champion. When AMP Research was founded by Horst Leitner in southern California some twenty plus years ago, the company focus was primarily devoted to improving racing motorcycles and mountain bikes. Leitner has always combined utility and design into each and every invention he comes up with. Today, AMP Research is known and respected throughout the world for developing innovative, ergonomic and highly functional truck and van accessories such as PowerSteps, BedSteps and Bed X-tenders for work and recreational purposes.
Installed the PowerStep kit on my 2012 Ford F-150, and it has made a big difference. The steps are a comfortable height and retract smoothly. Very pleased with how well they integrate with my truck's look.

Not worth the hassle
I had high hopes for the AMP Research PowerStep, but mine stopped working after a few weeks. Installation seemed fine, but now I'm stuck with steps that won't retract. Really disappointed with the durability.

Great fit for my F-150!

Good product, but instructions could improve
The PowerStep conversion kit works well for my 2010 F-150, but I found the instructions a bit confusing. Once I got it installed, though, they function perfectly and look sleek. Just wish the guide was clearer!
