The BACKRACK Rear Bar accessory simply drops into the rear Stake Pockets of your truck. The two inch tube runs across the rear of your truck bed with tie hooks at the same width apart as the upright posts on the BACKRACK Cab Guard. The Rear Bar allows for full opening and closing of the tailgate and can be removed in seconds for storage.
I was excited about the BackRack for my 2008 Tundra, but the black finish started to chip after a few weeks. It works fine structurally, but I'm a bit let down by the appearance. Hopefully it lasts longer than it looks!

Good Quality but Missing Screws
The BackRack looks great on my 2018 Tundra, but I found that some screws were missing in the box, which made the installation take longer than expected. Once I got the right screws, it fit perfectly and seems really strong. Just check the packaging before you start!
