Red Lines Assembly Lube is designed to be used a lubricant to apply to potential wear surfaces before assembly in order to prevent metal contact upon startup before adequate lubrication is supplied. It provides three times greater film strength than conventional black Molybdenum Disulfide greases and will not clog oil filters. This product clings to all surfaces and is an excellent rust inhibitor, allowing the storage of parts for years. A thin film of protection is all that is required on mating parts. Red Line Assembly Lube will mix with our motor oil and can be used on all lubricated parts such as cams, followers, pistons, and bearings, and bolt threads. Use only a small amount on bearing and piston surfaces - too much can make it difficult to turn over the engine. Red Line Assembly Lube is an excellent corrosion inhibitor and can be used on machined surfaces to provide long-term corrosion protection. It should not be used on exhaust bolts or other high temperature bolts which require an anti-seize.
I've been using the Red Line assembly lube for my bike and it's been fantastic. The 4-ounce jar is just the right size for all my needs, and I love that it comes in a 12-pack. I can keep some at home and in my garage without running out anytime soon!

Decent but not perfect
The assembly lube works well, but I found the packaging a bit excessive for personal use. I only needed one jar, and now I have eleven left! It's good lube, but next time I might just buy a single jar instead of a 12-pack.

Eh, not my favorite
I was looking forward to trying this assembly lube, but it arrived with a few jars dented. The product itself works fine, but the experience wasn't great. I expected better packaging for the price.
