The lightweight Gold mini-works racing chains feature chromoly steel construction with seamless rollers and bushings, and oversized special alloy pins for added strength. All components are heat-treated using RK's exclusive HIT (Heat Induction Transfer) process. Tensile strength is 5000 pounds per feet.
I was excited to try out this RK Racing chain, but after a few weeks of riding, it started to show signs of wear. The gold color looks slick, but I thought it would hold up better given the price. It works okay, but I might look for something more heavy-duty next time.

Solid chain, but installation was tricky
The RK Racing MX chain is well-made and has a nice gold color. However, I struggled a bit with the connecting link during installation. I finally got it, but the instructions could have been clearer. Once on, it performs great, though!
