An oil change should be annually carried out or at least every 5000km. Through this process it can be safe to say that there will always be enough oil in the hub regardless of oil loss (due to sweat oil) and that any penetrated water will be rinsed out. For a problem-free oil change we recommend the use of the Rohloff Oil Change Kit.
I recently used the Rohloff Speedhub oil change kit for my bike, and it worked like a charm. The 25ml of all-season oil was just enough for a thorough change. I also appreciated having the cleaning oil included—made the job much easier!

Mixed feelings about the cleaning oil
The Rohloff oil change kit is decent, but I found the cleaning oil not as effective as I hoped. The all-season oil worked great, but the cleaning oil just didn’t cut through the grime as well as I wanted it to. Still, it gets the job done overall.

Disappointed with packaging quality
I was really excited to receive the Rohloff oil change kit, but the packaging came damaged. Luckily, the contents were fine, and the 25ml oils worked well for my Speedhub. Just wish the delivery was handled better.
