I've been using other primers before, but this SEM grey primer has been fantastic for my automotive touch-ups. It lays down smoothly and really bonds well to metal. Just be prepared to wait for it to fully cure before painting over it. Happy with this choice!

Disappointed with the finish
I had high hopes for the SEM 42013, but it left a rough texture after drying that I couldn't sand down properly. Maybe I applied it too thick? Either way, it wasn't what I expected. I might try it again at a thinner consistency, but I'm not too happy this time around.

Decent primer but tricky to apply
The SEM high-build acrylic primer does a good job of filling in imperfections, but I found it a bit challenging to spread evenly. The 16 oz size was enough for my small project, but the application process could be smoother. Just make sure to thin it out a bit if you're having trouble!

Great primer for woodworking projects
I used the SEM 42013 as a base for my furniture refinishing project and wow, it really did the trick! The grey color worked perfectly with my topcoat, and it adhered well to the wood. I do recommend giving it a solid 24 hours to cure before sanding, but the results were worth the wait!
