This item is a brand new Variable Valve Timing Solenoid. Sometimes on Fords it is also referred to as a VCT Solenoid. It will fit the following makes and models with 4.6L and 5.4L Engines: 2005-2014 Ford Expedition 2006-2010 Ford Explorer 2007-2010 Ford Explorer Sport Trac 2004-2010 Ford F150 2005-2010 Ford F250 Super Duty 2005-2010 Ford F350 Super Duty 2005-2010 Ford Mustang 2006-2010 Lincoln Mark LT 2005-2014 Lincoln Navigator 2006-2010 Mercury Mountaineer
I bought these VCT solenoids for my 5.4L Ford. They seem to be well made, though I did have some trouble getting the old ones out. After some effort, the new ones installed well. So far, the performance is good but I haven't driven it much yet.

Great fit for my 2005 Ford
I recently replaced the camshaft timing solenoids on my 2005 Ford 4.6L with this set. The installation was pretty straightforward, and they fit perfectly. I noticed an immediate improvement in engine performance, plus the oil control valve seems to be doing its job well!

Not impressed, broke after 3 weeks
I really wanted to love these cam timing solenoids, but unfortunately, one of them failed after just three weeks of use. I followed all installation instructions, so I’m not sure what went wrong. I'm considering contacting customer support for a replacement.

Solid product but shipping took longer
