Developed to provide complete protection of all cooling system components, Shell Rotella ELC Extended Life Antifreeze/Coolant (50/50 Pre-Diluted) is a carboxylate based coolant for heavy duty diesel, gasoline, and natural gas powered engines. The inhibitors in Shell Rotella ELC are designed to go 600,000 miles on-road or 12,000 hours off-road. Featuring excellent heat transfer and pitting protection for wet sleeve cylinder liners, it also works to reduce hard water scale and overall coolant and coolant component maintenance. It requires no traditional ELC Extender or supplemental coolant additive (SCA) additions and contains no silicate borate, nitrate or phosphate. Shell Rotella ELC has excellent, long-term corrosion protection of all cooling system metals including aluminum, brass, cast iron, steel, solder, and copper. Meets or exceeds the following OEM requirements: Phosphate free requirement of European OEMs; silicate free requirement of Japanese OEMs; Detroit Diesel DFS 93K217; Volvo/Mack; Paccar; Deutz DQC CB-14; CAT EC-1; Cummins CES 14439; Navistar MPAPS B-1 (formerly Int CEMS B-1). Meets or exceeds the requirements of the following industry specifications: ASTM D3306, D4985, D6120; TMC RP 329, RP 338. I've been using Shell Rotella ELC in my truck and it's done wonders for the engine. The 50/50 pre-diluted mix is super convenient, and I appreciate that it lasts longer than standard coolants. Can't believe how much smoother my engine runs now!

Arrived damaged, not impressed
Unfortunately, my case of Shell Rotella coolant arrived with a couple of the bottles leaking. I had to deal with some mess and it didn’t inspire confidence in the product. I’ll try it out, but not thrilled with the initial experience.

Decent performance but shipping was slow
The coolant itself works fine, definitely keeps my engine cool, but I had to wait almost a week for it to arrive. The 1-gallon case is great for stocking up, but I wish shipping had been faster. Still, I’m satisfied with the product's performance so far.
