Shields low permeation marine fuel Hose has a plastic barrier veneer with an NBR outer layer tube to prevent permeation. This polyester reinforced Hose Complies with EPA and CARB very low permeation requirements and is weather/UV resistant. This Hose is primarily used for fuel feed (gasoline up to 85% ethanol blended fuels/diesel/all bio-diesel blends). it meets USCG type A1 - 15 requirements for pleasure boats and meets sae J1527 type A1-15, ISO 7840 type A1, and NMMA/CE type accepted standards. The temperature ranges from -20 DegreeF to 212 DegreeF.
I installed the Sierra International 5/16" low permeation fuel feed hose on my boat, and it's been solid so far. The black color looks good and blends nicely with the other parts. No leaks, which is always a plus when dealing with fuel!

Arrived damaged, had to return
Unfortunately, the hose arrived with a kink that made it unusable. I was disappointed because I needed it quickly. The return process was straightforward, but I wish it had arrived in better condition. I might try again in the future.

Decent hose but could be better
The hose does its job for the most part, but I found the installation instructions a bit unclear. It took longer to set up than I expected. Still, it’s holding up fine and I haven't noticed any fuel permeation issues, so that's a relief.
