Maksutov-Cassegrains also use a meniscus-shaped corrector plate, eliminating any spherical aberration caused by the primary mirror. Our Maksutov series features a borosilicate primary mirror with an aluminum coating and a quartz overcoat, producing 94% reflectivity.
