STA- BIL Fogging Oil is an aerosol propelled oil treatment to protect internal engine components during storage. This fogging oil can be sprayed to coat internal engine components and prevent corrosion. Formulated to displace moisture from metal to protect engine, this product also lubricates the cylinders walls, pistons and rings to prevent damage (scuffing) during start-up after prolonged engine storage. It is used in all two and four cycle gasoline engines. The STA-BIL Fogging Oil comes in a convenient 12 ounce aerosol can with Flip up sprayer to direct oil in tight passages or through spark plug holes in head and cylinder. Best practice is to spray in the combustion chamber before storage. While an engine is idle and not running for some time the oil sits in the oil pan no longer lubricating and coating the internal parts of the engine. STA-BIL fogging oil clings to the insides of the combustion chamber keeping it corrosion free and ready for start up. STA-BIL is proudly made in the USA.
I was excited to use this STA-BIL fogging oil, but my package arrived dented and one can was leaking a bit. The oil itself works, but the experience was frustrating. I really hope the next order comes in better condition!

Great for winter engine storage
I bought this STA-BIL fogging oil to prep my lawn mower for winter. The 6-pack is super convenient, and I love that it's specifically designed to stop corrosion in stored engines. Easy to use and I feel confident my mower will start up come spring!

Could use better instructions
This fogging oil does seem to work well in preventing rust, but the instructions on the can could be clearer. I had to do some digging online to figure out how to apply it properly. Once I got it figured out, it was smooth sailing. Just wish the packaging was better!
