Locking lug nuts are a great way to prevent expensive wheels and rims from being stolen. Whats not so great is not being able to find the special key needed to remove them when its time to change brake pads or rotate the tires. With the STEELMAN PRO 78544 7-Spline 5/8-Inch Locking Lug Nut Socket on hand, when that time comes you can get the job done instead of spend all day trying to figure out how to get the wheels off your car. This key was designed explicitly for the purpose of easily removing locking lug nuts on aftermarket wheels currently on the market. Made from heat-treated chrome vanadium steel with a corrosion resistant black oxide finish it will last a lifetime of reliable use. The double hex-head design allows the socket to be used with both 13/16 and 7/8-inch lug and combination wrenches. Thin socket walls and an extra-long design helps to keep wrenches away from the wheel during use to prevent nicks and scratches.
This socket does the job and fits my aftermarket lug nuts well. However, I found the packaging a bit confusing, and it took me a while to figure out how to use it properly. Once I got the hang of it, though, it worked fine! Just make sure to look for a video if you're unsure.

Not what I expected
Unfortunately, this socket didn’t fit my lug nuts as I thought it would. I have aftermarket wheels, and the locking feature was a bit tricky for my setup. I’m not sure if it’s just my particular nuts or if the sizing is off, but I'm disappointed.

Solid Socket for Aftermarket Wheels
I used this Steelman 7-spline socket for my new aftermarket wheels and it worked like a charm. The 5/8-inch size fits perfectly, and the locking mechanism gives me enough confidence that it won't slip. Very sturdy build, definitely a must-have for anyone doing their own tire changes.

Good quality, but delivery was slow
I really like the quality of this Steelman lug nut socket. It feels solid and durable. Sadly, it took longer to arrive than expected, which was a bummer since I needed it for a weekend project. If shipping was quicker, I'd give it a full five stars.
