Designed for use on light trucks and SUVs, the Ranger ATR from Thunderer is a tough all-terrain tire thats also pre-drilled for easy installation of studs in extreme winter weather. The Ranger ATR features an optimized rubber compound for off-road traction, full nylon overwrap layer in the plies, and a pattern of 3D sipes and rigid tread blocks for solid wet-weather traction. Additionally, the Ranger ATR is backed by an up to 50,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life depending on the tires size.
I was looking forward to these Thunderer ATR tires but they didn't hold up as well as I hoped. They started to lose traction sooner than I anticipated, especially in wet conditions. Maybe I got a dud?

Solid choice for off-roading
These 33x12.50R20 tires are perfect for my off-roading adventures. They handle sharp turns and steep inclines really well. Just wish they were a bit quieter on the highway, but you gotta expect some noise with such aggressive tread.

Decent tires but heavy
The ATR tires are good for off-road use, but I found them to be heavier than other tires I've used. It does affect fuel efficiency a bit. However, when it comes to grip and durability, they're solid!

Great performance on rough terrain
I took the Thunderer Ranger ATR tires out on a rocky trail and they performed excellently. The grip was fantastic, even in muddy conditions. Plus, they look pretty rugged on my truck!
