I installed the Timken 710489 front axle shaft seal on my Jeep last week, and it’s been great. The fit was perfect and the sealing quality seems top-notch. No leaks so far, and that’s what really matters!

Installed, then started leaking
I was really disappointed with this Timken axle seal. I installed it carefully, but it started leaking after a few days. I thought Timken would be reliable, but this one let me down.

Not quite what I expected
I received the Timken 710489 seal, but it took longer than I thought to arrive. Once I got it on, there were still some minor issues with leaks. Not terrible, but I expected better from Timken.

Decent but packaging could improve
This Timken front axle shaft seal seems solid. However, the packaging was a bit damaged when it arrived. Thankfully, the seal was fine, but I think they need to work on that part of their shipping process.
