Many trucks and cars come equipped with Transmission Oil Coolers to maintain consistent operating temperatures for the transmission system. External Transmission Oil Coolers offer additional cooling capacity and efficiency for specific cars and trucks that have them. In addition to the Transmission Oil Coolers that are embedded into many TYC Radiators, TYC is excited to also offer externally mounted Transmission Oil Coolers.
The TYC 19031 cooler works well once it's in, but the installation instructions weren’t the clearest. Took me a while to get it right on my 2009 Silverado. It’s doing the job though, so I can’t complain too much!

Works as intended
This oil cooler from TYC is compatible with my 2012 Silverado and does the job nicely. I had some overheating issues before, but this has really helped. Just wish it came with better mounting hardware.

Cooler performs well
Happy with the performance of this TYC transmission oil cooler. Easy to hook up to my 2007 Silverado 1500, and it has really helped manage oil temps during towing. Just wish it came in a different finish, but that’s minor!

Not as durable as expected
I installed the TYC oil cooler last year on my 2011 Silverado and it started to leak after about 8 months. I was really hoping for better durability, given the price. I might have to look for a different brand next time.

Great fit for my Silverado!
Installed this TYC transmission oil cooler on my 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, and it fits perfectly. The cooler seems well made and does a good job of keeping the oil temperature down. Highly satisfied with the performance so far!
