TYC cooling fan assemblies are designed to be comparable to OE in performance, validated through air volume test that simulates cooling ability. Each unit is an assembly with motor, fan, and shroud to simplify replacement compared to working on individual components. To ensure durability, each cooling fan design are run through tests like : corrosion resistance, endurance, moisture, torsion and, vibration. Each unit goes through a quick power-on test before leaving the factory to ensure functionality.
I was excited to replace the fan in my 2007 Subaru Legacy, but unfortunately, it arrived with a bent frame. I had to return it and am still waiting for my refund. I hope the next one arrives in better condition, as I’ve heard good things about this brand otherwise.

Decent but a bit noisy
The TYC cooling fan assembly fits well in my 2010 Subaru Legacy, and it does help keep the engine cool. However, I noticed it’s a bit louder than the original one. It’s not unbearable, but it’s something I didn’t expect. Overall, it gets the job done!

Great replacement for my Legacy
I installed this TYC fan assembly in my 2006 Subaru Legacy and it works like a charm! The fit was spot on and the cooling performance is much better now. Super easy to install too; took me about an hour with basic tools. Definitely worth the price!
