TYC alternators are built brand new to meet Original Equipment (OE) specifications. The bearings, brushes, rotor, stator, rectifier, regulator are all 100% new to provide longer service life than remanufactured alternators. As such, there is no core charge where you have to return your old part to the store to get your money back on core charge.
The TYC alternator is doing its job on my 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but I had some issues with the shipping. It took longer than expected to arrive, which was annoying. Once it was installed, though, it's been functioning well so far!
