Contaminants from daily driving are drawn into the cabin of the vehicle through the heating/air conditioning system and are then filtered through the Cabin Air Filter or, CAF. When clean, the CAF provides for efficient and prolonged operation of your vehicles heating/AC system as well as protecting passengers from noxious particulate debris drawn in from the outside road environment. Pollens, allergens, various fuel based contaminants all pass into and are filtered by your Cabin Air Filter. TYC CAF is designed to have the same or better filtration efficiency as the original equipment filter. Same level of dust load capacity ensures the same amount of dust collecting power, while same level of pressure drop ensures the same level of air flow throughout the vehicles cabin. Each TYC CAF also comes with step-by-step installation instructions for ease of replacement.
I had high hopes for this TYC filter for my 2015 Subaru Impreza, but I found it didn’t seem to filter out odors as effectively as I expected. It was easy to install, which was nice, but I think I might try a different brand next time. Just not blown away by the performance here.

Perfect replacement for my old filter
I’m really happy with this TYC cabin air filter for my 2016 Subaru Impreza. It was super easy to install, took me maybe 10 minutes! The airflow is much better now, and I feel like it’s really cleaning the air in the car. Definitely worth it!

Decent filter, but installation was tricky
The TYC cabin air filter works well in my 2012 Subaru Impreza, but I found the installation instructions a bit unclear. It took me longer than expected to figure out how to install it properly. Once it was in, though, the air feels fresher, so it’s doing its job!
