Discharging the accessory battery, for example, will not result in also discharging the starter battery | Victron Energy Argo Battery Isolators feature a low voltage drop thanks to the use of Schottky diodes | All models are fitted with a compensation diode that can be used to slightly increase the output voltage of the alternator, this compensates for the voltage drop over the diodes in the isolator
The Victron isolator seems to work well, but I had some trouble setting it up initially. The instructions could be clearer for beginners. Once I figured it out, it did a great job managing my two batteries. Just be prepared for a bit of a learning curve!

Works decently but arrived with a dent
The Victron Argodiode works as intended, but it did arrive with a minor dent in the casing. Luckily, it didn't affect its functionality. It keeps my batteries isolated effectively, but I wish the packaging was better. A bit disappointing.
