The WARN 64250 Steering Box Skid Plate design has a 1/4in clearance between the skid plate and steering box and it provides maximum ground clearance. It is made of 3/16in steel with a black powder coat finish. It offers full structural rigidity when large rocks are hit and strategically sized holes allow for debris clearance and drainage without sacrificing structural support.
I was excited to get this Warn skid plate, but the fitment was off on my 2005 Wrangler. It took some finagling to get it to line up right. It looks good once it's on, but I wasn't thrilled with the initial hassle.

Decent but Took Ages to Arrive
I like the Warn body armor but man, the shipping took forever. It’s a solid product once you finally get it, but I was almost ready to cancel my order. Just be aware if you're in a hurry!

Beefy and Durable
This skid plate is one tough piece of equipment! Installed on my 1997 Jeep and it really does the job protecting the steering box from rocks and debris. The black finish is also holding up well after a few months of use.

Good but Installation Was a Pain
The Warn skid plate is sturdy and fits well on my 1999 Jeep Wrangler, but the installation instructions were a bit confusing. I ended up needing an extra pair of hands to get it in place. Once it was mounted, though, it feels very secure.
